Review

This book satisfies all the waiting in the first book’s slow burn. It also really pushes the “forbidden romance narrative”. Again, I would have loved this as a teen.

Opinion

Depending on the child I would recommend this book for teens 14-16+, be sure to check out the rest of the books, Powerless and Fearless, before making your decision.

Content:

• Some cursing

• Characters drink alcohol and get slightly drunk

• Kissing (describes it but hands stay on neck and waist)

• Gambling and characters pretend to work at gentlemen’s club

• Heavy flirtation, relatively clean but there is some touching (neck, hips, hands, cuddling)

• A character says “under different circumstances I’m fun tied up” insinuating sex
